Hi, I’m Makena Woldenga!

I’m a horse trainer local to the Temecula area, specializing in barrel racing, poles, and foundational horsemanship. I currently run my own training program and actively compete in jackpots weekly. My true passion lies in helping both the horse and the rider grow into the best versions of themselves, not just in the arena, but in life! 

My goal as a trainer is to provide each horse and rider with the tools they need to build confidence, communication, and a strong partnership. I believe that solid horsemanship is at the core of who we are as riders, and it’s my job to guide you in developing those skills so you can show up as the best for you and your horse! 

There’s nothing more rewarding to me than watching my clients find breakthroughs, build trust with their horses, and chase down their goals with heart. I'm incredibly excited to be part of the amazing program Melanie has created for those who may not have access to their own horse. It’s such a special opportunity to open the door for more people to learn, grow, and pursue their dreams in the horse world.

My name is Ashley Garcia Chaffin, and I'm a Temecula resident with over two decades of experience riding and training horses. Barrel racing is my specialty; I've proudly qualified for multiple California Circuit Finals qualifier finals for the Women’s professional Rodeo association, demonstrating my commitment to both the competitive aspects of the sport and the vital teamwork between horse and rider.

Beyond competition, horsemanship is my true passion. I believe in building a strong foundation for every student, and I find immense satisfaction in witnessing their progress. This passion is fueled by my experience raising my three children and running a non-profit youth rodeo organization, dedicated to fostering the next generation of equestrian athletes. I'm deeply committed to nurturing a love for horses and the collaborative spirit that riding requires.
